Tio

My son adores his Tio! He walks around the house saying "where Tio?", "Tio play". The feeling is completely mutual as well. My brother dotes on his nephew. (The kid is spoiled rotten by all his aunts and uncles) So, last night we went and watched Tio play softball. It was so much fun. The Hellion spent half the game trying to get out on the field and the other half making friends with all the fans and other teams. He would yell for his Tio everytime he was up to bat. Tio was so excited that the Hellion made it to one of his games. He spent half the game bragging about his nephew. It was a fun game and I am just glad Hellion got to go watch one. Of course my camera is broken and I forgot to grab my moms so no pics this time.

New Friends

I don't know how many people get to meet someone they have chatted with online, but yesterday I got to meet one. I had a great time and now have a new "real life" friend. She is just as cool in person as she is online. It was a little nerve wracking driving to meet here. "Will she like me?" "Will I like her?" "Will our kids get along?" All these questions are running through my head as I am making my way up I-4. It turned out better than expected though. We got along great. I think her husband is wonderful. The kids adored each other. I can't wait to meet more online friends! Yeah Jewels you are one of the ones I want to meet. LOL! Here are some pics of the Hellion and his new friends.

Piano Man

My son adores the Piano. We have one at my mom's house and he is on it constantly. He is so cute trying to play. He has started singing while he plays. My favorite is when he gets Tio (my brother) to sing while he plays. It is soooo funny. I am glad my brother is such a good sport.

Job Fair

Today I went to my first, and my last, job fair. I went expecting to hand over my resume to a variety of employers and get a chance to chat with them a bit. Not what happened. I was told time after time to check out their website, they weren't accepting resumes at this time. Well, why the hell did I drive 30 minutes to come talk to you if I just had to sign on to your website and do a job search. I was a wasted two hours of my life. I will not be going to another one and I recommend no one else goes either.

Another Year

So I just had a birthday last week and I am another year closer to 30. It is kinda scary and very sad. I thought I would be in a totally different place by now. I would have a career and a couple of kids. I would have a loving husband and own my own home. Instead I am single working part time trying to find a job. I am living with my parents and trying to figure out what to do with my life. How did my life get so off track? How did I end up here instead of there? It isn't all bad though. I have my hellion. I wouldn't trade all the money in the world for my son. If I had to do it again I would be in the same place if it meant I got to have my son. So I am almost 30 and trying to start life over. I know I will do a better job this time. I have something that will make all the effort worth it. My hellion!!

Monster Jam

We went to the Monster Jam pit party on Saturday and the hellion had a blast! We walked around and looked at all the huge trucks. They were a little scary for him at first. He loved the monster golf cart though. I think his favorite thing was watching them race the little RC trucks. We kept going back to it. I was going to go to the show later that night but the weather was awful that day and I decided to stay dry instead. We did go watch a little of the Gasparilla kids parade and hellion got a ton of beads. That was cancelled because of the weather. All in all it was a very good day.
