I miss my Hellion

I hate this so much. Now it is worse. Our custody agreement has changed and we each get him for two weeks at a time instead of one. It is hopefully going to be a lot easier on the boy. He will get time to settle into each house and we will get three full days with him instead of one. Plus it will save me 100 bucks in gas. The part that sucks is my ex having him. I hate it so much. He should be here, with me. Not off with his dad doing who knows what. I don't want to take him away from his dad but at times it is really tempting. Ugh, this just sucks!!!

A day at the zoo!

We went to Lowry Park Zoo today! The hellion, Nini, Gigi, Papa and I spent a few hours walking around looking at all the animals. Hellion of course didn't want to walk and didn't want to be in his stroller. So Gigi and Nini spent a lot of time holding him, I refused to. I am such a mean mommy. We saw all the Florida animals. He petted the stingrays and absolutely loved the manatees and turtles and other reptiles/amphibians. He got to feed a giraffe, which was a fun experience for him. He got to see a kangaroo with a baby in her pouch. All you could see were the tail and one of its feet sticking out. Hellion was fascinated and didn't want to leave. He also had his first ice cream cone today. Gigi made the mistake of offering him a bite of hers. Needless to say she never got it back. All in all it was a pretty good day. We got to see lots of animals and got some great pictures.

WTH!

I live in a neighborhood with an association and stupid rules. They are a bunch of small minded idiots with nothing better to do than go around looking for things to complain about. Apparently when they created the list of rules for our neighborhood there were a lot of work trucks here because the neighborhood was still under construction. One of their stupid rules is no trucks parked in the driveway. Ok, fine. What would you like my brother and I to do with our trucks then. We can't stick them in the garage because they don't fit. We can't park them in the street or anywhere else in the neighborhood so what would you like us to do exactly?! Seriously, is this the best thing you could come up with. There are a zillion rules being broken in this neighborhood daily and you are gonna harp on an outdated one. Why don't you spend your spare time finding the hoodlums that wreck peoples mailboxes every week. Or the ones that litter in the ponds. Go find something worthwhile to bitch about and leave us the hell alone! I am gonna start parking at the park in the neighborhood. Don't think we have any rules about that. Meh!

Tio

My son adores his Tio! He walks around the house saying "where Tio?", "Tio play". The feeling is completely mutual as well. My brother dotes on his nephew. (The kid is spoiled rotten by all his aunts and uncles) So, last night we went and watched Tio play softball. It was so much fun. The Hellion spent half the game trying to get out on the field and the other half making friends with all the fans and other teams. He would yell for his Tio everytime he was up to bat. Tio was so excited that the Hellion made it to one of his games. He spent half the game bragging about his nephew. It was a fun game and I am just glad Hellion got to go watch one. Of course my camera is broken and I forgot to grab my moms so no pics this time.

New Friends

I don't know how many people get to meet someone they have chatted with online, but yesterday I got to meet one. I had a great time and now have a new "real life" friend. She is just as cool in person as she is online. It was a little nerve wracking driving to meet here. "Will she like me?" "Will I like her?" "Will our kids get along?" All these questions are running through my head as I am making my way up I-4. It turned out better than expected though. We got along great. I think her husband is wonderful. The kids adored each other. I can't wait to meet more online friends! Yeah Jewels you are one of the ones I want to meet. LOL! Here are some pics of the Hellion and his new friends.
